Catit Nuna is available in 2 tasty varieties
Naturally good cat food
Insects are a great, high-quality protein source used by many different cultures around the world for their nutritional benefits and delicious taste. Catit Nuna combines insect protein with a tad of chicken or herring, along with other healthy ingredients, to offer your cat a complete and irresistible daily diet. In addition to being healthy and tasty, insect protein is also much more eco-friendly to produce than raising farm animals. In other words, feeding Catit Nuna is not just good for your cat but kind on the planet as well.
1. Premium complete cat food with high-quality insect protein
Catit Nuna is dry cat food made with whole larvae of the Hermetia illucens fly, also known as the black soldier fly. These grubs have been proven to have great nutritional properties and are extremely palatable. They offer an excellent amino acid profile, are high in protein, low in carbs and easy to digest.
Feed smarter
On a nutritional level, Hermetia illucens larvae are greatly superior to beef and chicken, containing much more protein, iron and calcium per 100g.
Clean and planet-friendly
Catit Nuna grubs are sustainably raised in clean facilities where each step in the production process is monitored carefully. As flies, the tiny animals have very primitive mouthparts which they only use to absorb water and nectar. That’s why black soldier flies are extremely clean and not a vector for disease.
2. Complete and balanced nutrition with beneficial ingredients for cats
Catit Nuna recipes are bursting with healthy nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, omega 6 fatty acids, calcium, phosphorus and zinc. This complete and carefully balanced diet gives your cat all they need to live their best 9 lives.
Catit Nuna contains hydrolyzed yeast protein, which has an amino acid profile similar to that of common animal protein, but is easier to digest. In addition, our recipes include animal protein sources such as herring and chicken.
Why do we include fish or chicken?
By including a small amount of succulent chicken or fish, Catit Nuna will taste more familiar to cats that are used to eating mainly animal protein, which will help them to smoothly transition to Catit Nuna.
With essential taurine
Taurine is an essential amino acid that cats need for their vision and heart muscle function among other things. Each Catit Nuna recipe contains taurine to support your cat’s health.
Healthy skin and coat
and reduced inflammation, thanks to omega 6 in sunflower oil, omega 3 in dried algae and vitamins in yeast.
Promotes heart health
thanks to the fiber in lentils, with added minerals and vitamins.
Helps protect muscles and bones
and supports your cat’s active life.
High in fiber, low in calories
Catit Nuna contains millet, a gluten-free grain with lower glycemic index, and lots of fiber. Flaxseed keeps your cat’s furry belly full and satisfied for longer.
Optimal digestion
Locally sourced peas, lentils and seeds are blended into a balanced mixture of fibers. Catit Nuna is gluten-free and doesn’t contain corn, soy, rice or wheat.

Benefits of whole grubs
Catit Nuna contains whole grubs, but they are ground into a fine powder before being mixed in. This means you can feed your cat the nutritious goodness of whole grubs, without ever finding an insect in the bag.
natural substances
No cheap fillers
Catit Nuna is 100% free of antibiotics and added growth hormones, and our chickens are raised in vet-approved facilities.
Great-tasting recipes cats just can’t get enough of
Cats are notorious for their picky eating and refined tastebuds. Even so, our jury of taster cats came back with unanimous results – Catit Nuna is a hands down taste test winner!
3. Sustainable alternative to meat-based cat foods
Catit Nuna grubs help save loads of natural resources by only feeding on unconsumed human-grade fruits and vegetables, which would otherwise go to waste. Instead, those ingredients are recycled into premium nutrients for your cat. Even land that would go into producing animal feed, or serve as landfill for food and animal leftovers, is now saved.
Use of natural resources for 10kg of protein
Less water used
It takes lots of water to grow feed for livestock, while insect grubs hardly need any water!
Less land needed
Insect farms are stacked vertically, saving large patches of farmable land.
Less carbon emissions
Insect farming produces far less CO2 than rearing livestock.
Planet-friendly packaging
Most food packagings combine different materials, which makes them difficult to recycle. Catit Nuna bags only consist of LDPE (low-density polyethylene), and can be remade into different products.
