Each category winner will receive 4 different Catit products, which they themselves can select from the new Catit range (only products released before 30.11.15 are eligible).
In addition, the overall contest winner receives a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 with S Pen - and eternal glory of course!
All artwork must be submitted in one of the following categories.
- Drawings: Any kind of drawing made with pencil, charcoal, ink, pastels, and more.
- Paintings: All types of paint on canvas belong in this category, from watercolors and gouache to oil paints! Send in a clear photograph of the original artwork to compete.
- Photography: All digital photography and artwork created with digital techniques (i.e. vector, Photoshop) must be submitted in this category.
- Mixed Media: All remaining types of artwork. For example glasswork, metalwork, clay figures, sculptures...
All artwork must feature one or multiple cats. The artwork cannot feature explicit scenes of cruelty towards cats or other animals. Material that is deemed inappropriate will be excluded from the competition.
If possible, take a scan of your work. When this not possible (i.e. because of the size of the work or the texture), take a clear photograph. For a good picture, remember to
- focus on the artwork,
- use enough lightning so we can judge the artwork properly,
- use professional equipment and avoid low-resolution cameras like those in smartphones.
If the photo quality is insufficient or does not clearly show the original artwork, this may effect the judging. Submit your entries in a JPEG format (.jpg file extension). There is no standard format size, but keep the file under 5 MB.
Each entry must be uploaded via the contest form on the Catit website. The file must be clearly labeled: it should carry your name and the category of the artwork, for example TPeters_Painting.jpg or MKern_Drawing.jpg. All fields on the contact form must be correctly filled in and a valid e-mail address must be given. Failure to do this may result in exclusion from the contest. Make sure to describe the materials you used when creating the artwork. Entries are admitted until February 29, 2016.
This worldwide contest is open to residents of legal age in their respective countries. No purchase necessary to enter this contest. All information on the official entry form must be provided in order for the entry to be valid. By submitting the obligatory Official Entry Form, each contestant agrees to abide by the rules and regulations governing this contest.
A professional external jury will make a first selection of up to 10 entries per category. Secondly, everyone will have a chance to vote for their favourite entry. Once votes are in, the winners will be announced on April 15, 2016. They will be personally contacted via their email address and their winning artwork will be displayed on the Catit website and social media. If the winner does not respond to our email within 4 weeks, the prize will be awarded to the runner-up.
Copyright & Reproduction
You must be the sole creator of the submitted artwork. If plagiarism is suspected, the entry will be excluded from the competition. By entering this contest, all entrants agree to the use and publication of their names and works by Catit*, or its advertising agencies, without compensation either during or after the contest. The artworks will only be used to promote this and future contests!
A professional external jury will select up to 10 artworks in each category to be voted on.
The selected pictures will be published on the Catit website where public voting will determine the winners. Should the quality of entries fall below the standard required, the organizers reserve the right not to award prizes. The voting will take place from March 14 until April 4, 2016 and will be announced on the Catit website.
